GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead Pharmacy Technician is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of customer service and patient care.

SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Excellent and efficient Data entry skills (Pioneer Rx).
  • Provide guidance and technical support to mentor the Pharmacy Technicians as needed.
  • Help with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking
    pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing the practice of
    pharmacy.
  • Assist with training and onboarding new Pharmacy Technicians, ensuring they are
    familiar with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor workflow to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee customer inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to pharmacy operations.
  • All responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician. Will work in the pharmacy workflow with
    other technicians.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    A. Strong leadership and communication skills.
    B. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
    C. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    D. Skills and proficiency with pharmacy software and computer systems.
    E. Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited high school.
    2. Must have a valid California driver’s license or license from current residence state.
    3. Must pass pre-employment background check.
    4. Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
    5. Must have a valid CPR card or be able to obtain one within ninety (90) days of hire.
    6. Minimum of four (4) years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
    7. Certified Pharmacy Technician Credential preferred.
    8. Active unrestricted License with the California Board of Pharmacy.
    9. Four (4) years of customer service experience.

    WORKPLACE ENVIRONMENT:
    1. PHYSICAL SAFETY: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

2. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.

PREFERENCE POLICY:
1st Preference: Enrolled member of a Federally Recognized Tribe.
2nd Preference: Documented proof of Veteran Status, i.e. DD-214, Veterans Benefit Card.
3rd Preference: All other applicants.
