Falling leaves, crisp evening autumn air and the beautiful sounds of the Susanville Symphony will all be featured this Saturday afternoon on the lawn in front of the historic courthouse on South Lassen Street. It’s singular concert event unlike any other and it is the kickoff for the symphony’s 2015 – 2016 season.
Symphony performers under the direction of artistic director and conductor Benjamin Wade will fill the evening air with some of the most inspirational and awe-inspiring music ever written – just right for an outdoor concert; Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, Rossini’s William Tell Overture and a variety of American compositions including Born on the 4th of July, Summon the Heroes, Rodeo and more. Even Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven will make an appearance for your listening enjoyment.
Kick back in your stadium chair or blanket and enjoy, the event begins at 4:00p.m. and beer and wine will be served.
