Kids Summer Adventures: Susanville School District Offers Expanded Learning

The Susanville School District is inviting all current students from transitional kindergarten through 6th grade to participate in the Kids Summer Adventures program for 2026. Hosted by the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program, this initiative offers a vibrant and creative environment where children can engage in themed activities during two distinct summer blocks. The first session runs from June 15th through June 30th, followed by a second session from July 27th through August 14th.

To accommodate busy families, the program operates daily from 7:45a.m. to 5:15p.m., and the district ensures that every participant is well-fed by providing breakfast, lunch and daily snacks.

The summer is structured into six unique themed weeks designed to spark curiosity and keep students active. The fun begins in mid-June with “Ahoy, Summer,” followed immediately by the colorful activities of “Color Me Crazy” and the nature-focused “Bug Bonanza.”

After a mid-summer break, the program returns in late July with the “Out of this World” space theme, moves into the culinary excitement of “Food Frenzy,” and concludes in mid-August with a high-energy “All Star Summer.”

Parents interested in enrolling their children can complete the process online by following this link. For those who have additional questions or require more specific details about the curriculum and registration, the district office can be reached by phone at 1.530.257.8200 or via email at [email protected].
