The Susanville Kiwanis Club along with local Boy and Girl Scouts have spent the last week cleaning, renovating and painting the cabin at the west end of Court Street in Susanville.
The cabin, located near the historic pioneer cemetery, was built just before World War II as a place for Campfire Girls to hold their meetings.
Over the years the cabin has been used in various capacities by the Scouts and the county took over ownership of the property in 2001.
Future plans are to fix the floor, which will entail removing the Campfire Girls medallion from the tile and putting it on the wall.
