In preparation for seasonal closings, the Almanor North boat dock was pulled from the water last week. The dock will be returned to the water next April when water levels make it safe to do so.
Until then, boaters and fishermen will still be able to enjoy lake access from the free Canyon Dam Boat Launch at the southeast end of Lake Almanor off Highway 89.
