The Lassen County Arts Council wants you to be a part of their 2015 calendar! The organization is inviting talented local artists to submit works of art depicting vintage places, buildings, landmarks and scenery around Susanville and the deadline to enter is rapidly approaching. The art contest is open to all Lassen County residents and pieces must be done as a painting and submitted by December 1st, 2014.
The LCAC will select 12 of the submissions to be included in their 2015 Calendar.
All paintings will be on display in the gallery for the month of December with an Artist Reception on Tuesday December 9th, from 5:30 to 7:30 at the gallery on Cottage Street.
Winning artwork will also be displayed at the Arts Council’s annual Chocolate Festival on December 6th.
Additional awards include:
- First place winner – $100 in art supplies
- Second place winner – $50 in art supplies
- Third place winner – $25 in art supplies
All submissions must be framed and ready to hang. Entry fee is $25 for the first painting and $10 for each additional entry.
Artwork must not be larger that 18×24 and must not be smaller than 8×10. All mediums accepted except digital and photography.
