The Lassen County Arts Council wants you to be a part of their 2014 calendar! The organization is inviting talented local artists to submit works of art depicting places, buildings, landmarks and scenery around Susanville.
The art contest is open to all Lassen County residents and pieces must be done as a painting and submitted by November 18th, 2013.
The LCAC will select 12 of the submissions to be included in their 2014 Calendar.
All paintings will be on display in the gallery for the month of December with an Artist Reception on December 10th, 2013
Additional awards include:
- First place winner – $250
- Second place winner – $100 in art supplies
- Third place winner – $50 in art supplies
All paintings must be 16”x 20” in size. They must be framed and ready to hang.
Entry fee of $25 for the 1st painting, $15 for the second entry, and $10 for the third. You may enter as many paintings as you want.
An independent judge will be judging the show so everyone is encouraged to participate.
Rules
1. Must be a painting of Susanville
2. Must be original work produced in 2013
3. Size must be 16”x20”
4. Any paint medium is acceptable
5. Deadline November 18, 2013
6. Must be 18 years or older
