
Warm up your winter afternoon with a blend of creativity, community, and conversation as the Lassen County Arts Council invites the community to join them for Winter Words & Music.
This cozy open mic event is set for Saturday, December 27th, from 12:00 to 2:00p.m. at the Blue Ox Cafe in Westwood. It marks the perfect opportunity to wind down the year and look forward to the 2026 arts season.
The afternoon will feature Laurel-Paulson-Pierce as the Master of Ceremonies. Guests can enjoy the performances alongside a complimentary cup of soup and fresh bread, making for a truly comforting winter gathering.
The Words & Music open mic format is designed to be inclusive and eclectic. The Arts Council welcomes musicians, poets, actors, recitations and spoken word artists.
All ages, skill levels, and genres are encouraged to take the stage. Whether you are a seasoned performer or a first-timer, this is a supportive space for families, students, and friends to share their talents.
Admission is free and includes soup and bread.
