Lassen Ballots Mailed to Military and Overseas Personnel

election2014Military and overseas ballots for the June 3rd, 2014 Direct Primary Election were mailed April 8th to Lassen County voters stationed in the US and abroad according to Lassen County Clerk-Recorder Julie Bustamante.

“In Lassen County we make every effort to ensure our military and overseas voters have an opportunity to vote,” said Bustamante.

2014coverage“We understand that there can be delays when mailing ballots overseas, so we are asking for your assistance. If you have a family member who is in the military or living overseas, who is registered to vote in Lassen County, please inform them to contact the County Clerk’s office if they do not receive their ballot by mail.”

“Our service men and women frequently change location and unfortunately the Registrar of Voters does not always receive updated mailing addresses.”

If time runs short other arrangements, such as faxing or emailing ballots, can be made to ensure the people serving our country can vote and return their ballot in time to be counted.
