Lassen Community College is celebrating its 100-year anniversary, marking a century of excellence in education, community engagement and student success. To commemorate this historic milestone, the college will host a series of exciting events throughout the year, inviting students, alumni and the community to join in the celebration.
“Join us as we honor the past, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future of Lassen College,” says LCC Executive Assistant to the Superintendent/President Julie Johnston, who adds, “We look forward to celebrating with you!”
The anniversary festivities will include a variety of events for all ages, including:
Sticker Contest – School-age children are invited to participate in a sticker design contest, showcasing their creativity while celebrating Lassen College’s legacy.
Alumni Baseball Game – A special game to bring former student-athletes back to the field and reconnect with past teammates.
Time Capsule Unearthing – Witness the unveiling of historical artifacts and memories buried decades ago.
Campus Celebration – A large gathering featuring a concert on the green, food trucks, and activities for the whole family.
Chamber Mixer – A networking event bringing together local businesses, alumni, and community members to celebrate Lassen College’s impact on the region.
“Leave Your Mark on Lassen College” Brick Fundraiser – A unique opportunity for alumni, students, and community members to leave a lasting legacy by purchasing personalized bricks to be placed on campus.
