
The Lassen College Foundation, in partnership with the Vogt-Morentz Charitable Fund, has announced the first recipient of the Need to $ucceed Nursing Scholarship. This crucial funding aims to support dedicated students at Lassen Community College as they pursue careers in nursing, a field currently experiencing shortages in the greater Northern California region.
First Recipient Recognized
Griselda Stumetz, an incoming student in LCC’s Registered Nursing program, has been awarded the inaugural $1,500 scholarship. The award recognizes her dedication, hard work and evident passion for becoming a Registered Nurse.
“The scholarship committee is proud to honor her accomplishments and excited to cheer her on as she works toward her goals,” shared a representative from the Lassen College Foundation.
Generous Donation Funds Second Scholarship
Aimed at directly addressing the regional nursing shortage, the Vogt-Morentz Charitable Fund has generously committed an additional $1,500 to fund a second Need to $ucceed Nursing Scholarship.
