This month nursing students from Lassen Community College’s Nursing and Allied Health Occupations program will be traveling to the developing country of Belize to provide medical care to those in need. The students will be learning about the different diseases that are prominent in Belize and will provide treatment and education to prevent those diseases from occurring.
This Saturday, June 9th, the nursing students will be holding a 5K fun run and walk to help support the humanitarian mission.
The event begins at 10:00a.m., at Susanville Ranch Park, and water and snacks will be provided for participants.
Registration for the 5K is $20 for adults, $10 for ages 5 to 10 and under 5 is only $5. All proceeds go towards helping fund the trip to Belize.
LCC Nursing sweatshirts and t-shirts will also be for sale.
