Lassen Community College has announced they are offering new classes for their Certificate of Accomplishment in Administrative Medical Assisting this Fall.
Classes are scheduled so students can complete this certificate in one semester.  Students will attend the core classes Monday through Thursday from 3:00-4:50pm at PSTC  (the Old Credence building on Cottage Street) room PT 105. Each class must be completed successfully to progress to the next class.

Additionally, students will need to arrange and complete 1 credit of Health Occupation Work Experience.
Recommended Preparation: Successful completion of ENGL 105 and MATH 103 or equivalent assessment placements.
Upon completion of the Certificate of Accomplishment in Administrative Medical Assisting the student will be able to:
- Demonstrate the ability to perform typical duties in a medical setting, including financial transactions and insurance billing.
- Interpret medical records, articles, and texts for diagnosis, treatment, laboratory, and x-ray information.
