In September, the Lassen County 4-H Ambassadors attended all eight of our 4-H clubs’ monthly meetings. Thank you, Thompson Peak, Lake, South County, Milford, Dyer Mountain, Standish, Richmond and Johnstonville 4-H clubs for allowing us to come talk to you about Achievement Night and invite you to participate in the camp banner contest!
As a team we have made it a priority to host monthly dinners throughout our year to bond as a team. While we might drive our parents a little crazy it has been a lot of fun and we are learning a lot about ourselves and how to help each other.
On Sunday October 6th we held Achievement Night at Sentimental Journey ranch in Janesville. Our theme for the evening was Plaidpalooza. In total we had more than 130 guests including members, their families, and our inductees into the Lassen County 4-H Hall of Fame.
We would like to thank our sponsors for their food and monetary donations to 2024 Achievement Night: Susanville Supermarket, Susanville Safeway, Susanville Grocery Outlet, Alpine Beverage, Morning Glory Dairy and Jason Ingram.
One of the requirements to be an Ambassador is to complete a project that improves your local 4-H Program. We had been keeping our project a secret for months and finally got to unveil it at Achievement Night. We will be hosting Lassen County 4-H Camp April 13th-15th. We are working on making this camp available to all youth in our county, not just current 4-H members!
Our plan is to allow ages 5-8 for the morning sessions and ages 9 and up for the entire day. We have massive things in the works and look forward to sharing updates with you here! Help us “Inspire Tomorrow!” and mark the date on your calendar if you have kids between the ages of 5 and 19.
If you did not see the biographies for our Class of 2024 Hall of Fame inductees, make sure to check them out – we are so honored to provide this unique award experience.
Thanks Lassen County – see you in November!
