Lassen County Arts Council Summer Art Program: Still Life Drawing- Aliens. This workshop is 12:30-2:30pm at 807 Cottage Street. Students will draw basic shapes, and learn techniques for making those shapes 3D images. The students will turn those shapes into silly alien picture. Cork and Canvas in the Garden will start promptly at 11:00am at Every Bloomin Thing. Hosted by the Lassen County Arts Council. Learn how to paint a garden scene with Brian Haynes in this incredible class; you will take home your own masterpiece! Snacks, and two drinks will be provided as well as your canvas, easel, apron, brushes and paints. No art experience necessary. Limited space, call 251-2330. The cost is $25 for members and $30 for non-members. Seats are limited to 25 participants and pre-paid reservations are recommended.

Lassen County Arts Council Summer Art Program: African Mask. This workshop is 12:30 -2:30pm at 807 Cottage Street. Masks were created to wear in ceremonies and dances for a variety of reasons, including good health, traditions, and influencing nature. This project uses various materials dried beans, raffia, tissue paper, watercolors, and more.
