Lassen County Tobacco Prevention Coalition is hosting its first meeting from 10:00 – 12:00 p.m. in the Aspen Room at Lassen County Public Health at 1445 B Paul Bunyan Rd. Our purpose is to reduce the amount and availability of tobacco products in Lassen County. This coalition will focus its efforts on goals specific to meeting the needs of our county. We will be addressing coalition objectives and establishing community related goals. Snacks will be provided! With your help we can make a difference in our community and reduce the harmful effects of tobacco!

Lassen County Arts Council will be holding a Community Service Art Class with instructor Michael Giampaoli. The course will be each Wednesday from March 1 to May 17th and will be from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m., at the Gallery at 807 Cottage Street. The cost for the semester is $75.00.

Lassen Community College will be celebrating both Black History and Women’s History Months on March 15th, as they present a special free showing of the 20th Century Fox film Hidden Figures at the Sierra Theatre.
