Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Update

Mariners Resort invites everyone to celebrate the arrival of summer by attending their annual Chamber Mixer that will be held on Friday, June 24th, from 5:30 to 7:30pm.
Mariner’s Resort is located at the North Shore of Eagle Lake, 508-725 Stone Road.
The resort, General Store, Eagle Nest Lounge, and the Galley Restaurant are open for the summer season and they hope to see you at the mixer for a fun evening of food, beverages, and mingling with friends and business associates.
Classic cars and motorcycles will take to the streets June 25th for the 21st Annual Main Street Cruise Classic Car and Motorcycle Show.
Musical entertainment will include Caravansarai, a Santana tribute band out of San Francisco, that will perform during the Main Street Cruise. The day’s activities will begin at noon with an Arts and Crafts Show and kid’s activities on Pancera Plaza and North Gay Street coordinated by the Lassen County Arts Council.
A street dance will be held from 7pm to 10pm on Pancera Plaza. The street dance will feature Sil Shoda, a Reno Rock Band, and Doug Sheehy’s Go Dog Go will close out the evening; bring a lawn chair to enjoy the evening entertainment. Food, beverages, and beer/wine bar will be available all day and throughout the evening.

All pre 1980 vehicles can enter the classic car show and motorcycles of any year, make, or model are eligible to enter. Over 40 awards will be presented.

Mark your calendar to participate in the, Friday, July 15, 2011, 4-man scramble golf tournament planned by the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce at the Diamond Mountain Golf Course.
Sign-ups are now being taken; the entry fee is $100.00 per person and will include 18 holes of golf, cart, unlimited range balls, entry ‘gift’, sack lunch, and pork loin dinner. The golf tournament will begin with registration at 1pm followed by a 2pm shotgun start.
The tournament will include the chance to win a 2011 Jeep Rubicon for a “Hole-in-One-Shot” sponsored by Susanville Auto Mall, a chance to win cash price of $2500.00 if you sink a putt from 60’ sponsored by Customer Talk and a 50/50 money hole. Show off your community pride at this year’s Lassen County Fair Parade by entering your club or business. The Chamber will be coordinating the Fair Parade that will take place on Saturday, July 23rd, beginning at 10am. It’s not too early to begin thinking about your parade entry. Stop by the Chamber if you would like an entry form or call us at 257-4323 to have one forwarded to you. The deadline to return you entry is Friday, July 15th.
