Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Update

Mark your calendar to attend the Thursday, June 9, 2011 Chamber Mixer that will be co-hosted by Honey Lake Firearms and Customer Talk. The Mixer will be held at Honey Lake Firearms located at 600 Main Street in Historic Uptown Susanville.
Everyone is invited to stop by to mingle with friends and business associates and you are encouraged to bring a friend. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend. We hope to see you there!
The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, June 9th for the monthly board meeting beginning at noon, at Susanville Pizza Factory.
The board encourages public attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.
Board member, Elizabeth Woodyard, who is relocating out of the area, submitted her resignation from the board of directors. Her resignation leaves an unexpired term to be filled. The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill the board vacancy.
Chamber members who are interested in sharing their time and talent to help promote the business community and Lassen County by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Applications are available at the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street. Deadline to return an application is Tuesday, June 7, 2011.
The 21st Annual Main Street Cruise Classic Car and Motorcycle Show will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011, in Historic Uptown Susanville. The event will include an Arts and Crafts Show coordinated by the Lassen County Arts Council, kid’s activities, and street dance, featuring a live band, will be held from 7pm to 10pm on Pancera Plaza.
Food and drink will be available all day throughout the event. Log on to the chamber website to download a registration form to enter your classic car or motorcycle at www.lassencountychamber.org or call the Chamber at 257-4323 and one can be forwarded to you.
Golfers won’t want to miss the, Friday, July 15, 2011, 4-man scramble golf tournament planned by the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce at the Diamond Mountain Golf Course. Sign ups are now being taken; The entry fee is $100.00 per person and will include 18 holes of golf, cart, unlimited range balls, entry ‘gift’, sack lunch and pork loin dinner.
The golf tournament will begin with registration at 1pm followed by a 2pm shotgun start. The tournament will include the chance to win a 2011 Jeep Rubicon for a “Hole-in-One-Shot” sponsored by Susanville Auto Mall, a chance to win cash price of $2500.00 if you sink a putt from 60’ sponsored by Customer Talk and a 50/50 money hole.
