The Chamber board elected new officers for the 2017 year congratulations to President Richard Parker, Integrated Insurance Broker, Vice President Bill Payer, Store Manager-Tractor Supply Company, and Treasurer, Amanda McGarva, CPA. Thank you to outgoing President Rod Chambers, Sierra Broadcasting Corporation, for his outstanding service to the Chamber this past year, under Rod’s leadership we were able to make great progress this past year.
The Chamber board elected Juanita Williams and Phil Fetterman as the newest members to the board of directors. They will begin their 3 year board terms in January 2016. Please join us in welcoming them to the board. We thank Tim Watts, Frontier Communications, and Damon Shea, of C& S Waste Solutions, for their service on the board.
The Chamber is still accepting preorders for 2017 Labor Law posters that feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. They will be available to Chamber members for $30.00 or/ non-member for $40.00 per poster. California businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business. The 2017 posters should be arriving soon and is expected to be available for pickup by the end of December.
As the end of the year approaches we look back to what has been a very busy and successful year. We thank the community for the support given to the Chamber this past year. From all of us at the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year.
