Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

Mark your calendar and make plans to attend the annual Spring Home, Garden, and Outdoor Recreation Show that will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds, from 10am to 4pm. The event is always well attended so it is worthwhile to showcase your business. Indoor and outdoor 10’x10’ booth spaces are available on a first-come-first-served basis.  Booth space applications can be downloaded from our website www.lassencountychamber.org . For more information contact the Chamber office at 257-4323.

The Chamber attended the Reno Outdoor Recreation, RV, and Boat Show as a booth exhibitor. Volunteers manning the booth handed out Lassen County area and outdoor recreation information to attendees. The Chamber board made a financial and staffing commitment in order to promote Lassen County with a strong presence at the three day show. Our commitment to the show is a big step forward in ensuring we get the word out to visitors to our area. We would like to thank the following individuals for their help at the show: Jean Coye, Bill and Anita Payer, Jean and Jim Hodges, Sonja and Jim Graham, Kerri Cobb, Gary and Susan Felt, Peggy Wood, and Dick and Rocky Parker. Their volunteer help made our goal of attending the three day show possible.

We are pleased to announce the addition of Jeni Simpson as the new Executive Assistant at the Chamber office. Stop by to say hello and welcome her to the office staff. The office is open Monday thru Friday, 9am to 4pm.

Is your business in compliance? The Chamber has a limited quantity of 2017 Labor Law posters still available for sale. The poster features all required federal and state notices on one poster. California employers are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business or face up to a $17,000.00 fine.  Stop by the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase one for your business.
