Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, October 11th for the monthly board meeting, beginning at noon, at Diamond Mountain Casino in the Hotel Conference Room. The board encourages member attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.

The Magical Country Christmas Committee will meet this month to begin preparations for this yearā€™s event that will be held on Saturday, December 1st in Historic Uptown Susanville. The Christmas tree at the top of Main Street will be going up the week of Thanksgiving. If you are interested in helping contact the office staff at 257-4323. Chairperson, Julie Brown, and the committees are excited to begin planning to make this another great event.

Mark your calendar for the Thursday, October 18th, Chamber Mixer as Sierra Desert Properties and Flanigan Leavitt Insurance Agency team up to co-host this monthā€™s mixer. The mixer will be held at Sierra Desert Properties, located at 613 Main Street, in Historic Uptown Susanville, from 5:30 to 7:30pm. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend everyone is welcomed and we encourage you to bring a friend!

Historic Uptown Susanville Association is preparing for the Annual Safe nā€™ Sane Halloween that will take place on Wednesday, October 31st, from 3 to 5pm, in Historic Uptown Susanville. This event will include trick-or-treating for children 12 and younger, costume contest, pet contest, and the very popular coffin races. For more information contact, event chairperson, David Teeter at Margieā€™s Book Nook 257-2392.

It is with great sadness that we announce theĀ chamber has lost board member Vicki Lozano due to her sudden passing last week.Ā  She was an active member of the community, a successful business woman, and an excellent member of the chamber board since her election in 2015. Vickiā€™s many positive contributions to our community will be missed and we extend our heartfelt sympathy to her family.
