Get your classic car or motorcycle ready for the 24th Annual Main Street Cruise Classic Car and Motorcycle Show that will be held Saturday, June 28th, in Historic Uptown Susanville, from 2 to 6pm. The event will feature food, beverages, and sidewalk sales. To participate as a vendor, stop by the Chamber office for an application. Log on to www.lassencountychamber.org to download an application to showcase your classic car or a motorcycle in the show or call the office at 257-4323 to have one forwarded to you.
The City of Susanville is sponsoring a “City Clean-up Day” on Saturday, June 21, 2014. Those interested in participating are asked to meet at Memorial Park at 7:30 am where assignments will be provided; work to begin at 8am and end at noon. The Lassen Regional Solid Waste Management Authority and City will provide clean-up tools and equipment, but also request that participants bring gloves, safety glasses, shovels, rakes, power blowers, weed eaters, other garden equipment and pick-up trucks for hauling. Specific clean-up areas are being designated, with other areas of interest to be cleaned depending on support for the event.
Community organizations, businesses, and individuals are all welcomed to join in on the clean-up efforts and can pre-schedule assignments if they prefer.
