Lassen County Chamber of Commerce Weekly Update

Patti Hagata, Executive Director

Congratulations to the 2021 officer team that were elected at the December board meeting: President, Theresa Phillips, LMUD Public Relations Manager, Vice President Scott Purdy, Manager Les Swab Tire, and Treasurer, Amanda McGarva, CPA. Thank you to outgoing President, Gary Felt, for his dedication and for his leadership provided to the Chamber for the past two years. Gary has truly been a dedicated volunteer and we thank him for all of his contributions!

The Chamber is pleased to welcome Breanna Glass, General Manager/Milwood Florist & Treats Pet Supply, and Rachael Schroeder, Manager/Bottle & Brush Art Bar, who were elected as the newest members to the board of directors. Thank you to outgoing board members Lena Lozano and Shantel Thompson for their service while on the board.

The board has been meeting regularly throughout 2020 via conference calls and a few in-person meeting prior to the most recent shut down orders. The Chamber board hopes to meet on Thursday, January 14, 2021 for the annual board planning meeting, this however is pending, due to the current governor’s COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings.

We know what a challenging year it has been for area businesses and have been overwhelmed by the support shown to us from members who have already sent in their dues for 2021. It is truly appreciated.  Thank you for your membership renewal and your continued support. Your investment makes possible the services and events that promote your business, tourism, and relocation into Lassen County. Membership dues notices for the 2021 year were sent out in mid-November and prompt payment is appreciated. Remember that your Chamber membership is tax deductible as a ‘necessary business expense’.

The Chamber has a supply of face masks & hand sanitizer, that was left over from the distribution day, available free of charge, to any business who may be in need of it. Stop by the Chamber office to pick-up or give us a call and we can deliver it to your business.

2021 Labor Law Posters have been ordered. If you pre-ordered a poster, we will be calling you to let you know once the order has arrived. We have been notified that they anticipate the shipment to go out the end of December.  If you did not pre-order a poster but would like one, we have ordered a small quantity of extra posters which can be purchased on a first-come first-served basis.
