Is your business ADA compliant? The Chamber in partnership with Plumas Bank will co-host a free ADA Compliance Symposium Tuesday, July 15, 2014, 5:30 – 7pm at the Susanville Plumas Bank Branch, located at 3000 Riverside Drive. Speakers will include: Mike Gardner, Certified Access Specialist, Anthony DeCristoforo, Attorney, Stoel Rives LLP, and Jeff Morrish, of NST Engineering. Refreshments will be served and there will be a Q&A period following the presentations. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend everyone is welcomed.
The Lassen County Fair Parade will take place on Saturday, July 19th, beginning at 10am. In honor of the county’s 150th anniversary celebration, the fair theme is “County Pride, County Wide”. The Chamber is still excepting late entries thru Wednesday, July 16th for the parade. A parade entry form can be downloaded at lassencountychamber.org.
Has your business been affected by the drought? Decreased hours, lack of typical seasonal work, or layoffs due to lack of work available? Alliance for Workforce Development would like you to let them know so they can gain insight on how you are affected. California is in a state of emergency due to the drought and is seeking local information in order to obtain funding to assist communities that are impacted by the dry conditions.
