If you would like to learn how to use social media to promote your business mark your calendar to attend the Chamber’s Social Media Marketing Symposium Thursday, November 20th, from noon to 1:30 pm. The symposium will be held at Lassen Senior Services, there is no cost to attend; lunch will be available for purchase. Presenters will include Laurie Wann- owner of Intentional Entrepreneurs/business consultant, Jennifer Peterson of Lassen Social Media/ Social Media Consultant, Computer Specialist-Aaron Barnes, owner of Lassen PC, Stephen King, Attorney, Anna Stewart, Owner Susanville Supermarket, and Jeremy Couso owner Susanvillestuff.com.
The Chamber will be ordering 2015 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. They will be available for sale to Chamber members for $25each poster / or non-members for $35 per poster. California employers and businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Pre-orders are now being taken; contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to have a poster ordered for your business.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill one board vacancy; the 3 year term will begin in January 2015. Chamber members who are interested in helping to promote the business community and Lassen County by serving are encouraged to apply. Stop by the Chamber office for an application.
