The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, December 11th for the monthly board meeting, beginning at noon, at Diamond Mountain Casino in the Hotel Conference Room. The board encourages member attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda. This month’s agenda will include nomination and election of new board officers for the 2015 as well as committee reports and routine business items.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill one board vacancy; the 3 year term will begin in January 2015. Chamber members who are interested in serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Contact the chamber staff, at 257-4323, for more information or to have an application forwarded to you.
Chamber membership dues notices for the 2015 year have been sent out; prompt payment is appreciated. Your investment in the Chamber makes possible the many services and events that promote and support business, tourism, and relocation into Lassen County. Remember that your membership in the Chamber is tax deductible as a ‘necessary business expense’. If you are not a member, but would like to become a member, stop by our office located at 75 North Weatherlow Street and we will be happy to share the many benefits of membership with you.
The Chamber has ordered 2015 Labor Law posters which feature all required federal and state notices on one poster. California employers and businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Contact the Chamber office at 257-4323 if you would like to purchase and reserve a poster for your business.
