The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, February 12, 2015 for the monthly board meeting beginning at noon, at Diamond Mountain Casino in the hotel conference room. If you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.
At the January board retreat the board formed committees for 2015. The following is a list of the events and the chairperson; 25th Annual Main Street Cruise, Chairperson-Jessika Johnson, Lassen Co. Fair Parade- office staff, Magical Country Christmas, Chairperson-Julie Brown, Government/ Business Affairs Committee, Chairperson-Gary Felt; Shop Local Committee- Chairperson Margaret Liddiard, Membership Annual Dinner- Chairperson-Rod Chambers, Newsletter Member Spotlight, Tim Watts, Billboard Committee-Chairperson Rod Chambers, Membership- chairperson Kelly Fink, Symposiums-Chairperson Gary Felt, Outdoor Recreation Trade Shows-Chairperson Rod Chambers, Goal Setting/New Events-chairperson Margaret Liddiard and Annual Spring Home, Garden, & Outdoor Recreation Show- Chairperson Bill Payer.
The Chamber has a limited quantity of 2015 Labor Law posters available for sale that feature all federal and state regulations on one poster. Businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Stop by the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase a copy for your business.
The next Chamber Mixer is scheduled for Thursday, February 19th and will be hosted by Tri Counties Bank. The Tri Counties girls are planning a fun filled evening so plan to attend to mingle with friends and business associates.
The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce’s 127th Annual Chamber Membership Dinner & Awards Night will be held on Friday, February 27, 2015 beginning at 6pm, at Lassen Steaks. The Chamber board is seeking nominations for “Chamber Member of the Year”, “Chamber Business of the Year”, and “Volunteer of the Year”. Please submit your nomination to the Chamber office by February 10, 2015.
