The Chamber board will meet on Thursday, March 12, 2015 for the monthly board meeting, at 12 noon, at Diamond Mountain Casino conference room. The board encourages public attendance and comment; if you would like to address the board please contact the office staff prior to the board meeting so that you can be added to the agenda.
Congratulations to the following award winners who were selected at the February board meeting for recognition for outstanding service to the chamber and community; 2014 Chamber Member of the Year: Frontier Communication, 2014 Chamber Business of the Year: Lassen Ale Works at the Pioneer, and 2014 Volunteer of the Year: Gary Felt. Please join us at the March Mixer as we present awards and honor all of our winners.
Mark your calendar to attend the Thursday, March 19th Chamber Mixer that will be hosted by Northeastern Rural Health Clinic, from 5:30 to 7:30pm, at 1850 Spring Ridge Rd., Susanville. You do not need to be a Chamber member to attend; everyone is welcomed to stop by to mingle with friends and business associates.
Susanville Best of Broadway will perform its final weekend of the 2015 concert series “The Masquerade” on Friday and Saturday, March 13-14 at 7pm, with a 2pm Saturday matinee. This Broadway revue show will includes selections from Grease, Annie Get Your Gun, Jekyll & Hyde, Into the Woods, Aladdin, Phantom of the Opera and Spamalot. Tickets are available at Margie’s Book Nook, Treats and the Lassen County Chamber of Commerce.
If your business falls under the categories of home, garden, or outdoor recreation we encourage you to participate in the annual Spring Home Garden and Outdoor Recreation Show planned for Saturday, April 25, 2015, at the Lassen County Fairgrounds. The average event attendance is around 1200 people so it is worthwhile to showcase your business. Indoor and outdoor 10’x10’ booth spaces are available on a first come first served basis; spaces are filling up quickly. Booth space applications can be downloaded from our website www.lassencountychamber.org . For more information contact the Chamber office at 257-4323.
The chamber office is down to a very limited quantity of 2015 Labor Law posters that are still available for sale. The poster features all federal and state regulations on one poster. Businesses are required to post updated employment posters at each place of business. Stop by the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street, to purchase a copy for your business.
