Show off your community pride at this year’s Lassen County Fair Parade by entering your organization or business in the parade. The Chamber will be coordinating the Fair Parade that will take place on Saturday, July 18th, beginning at 10am. It’s not too early to begin thinking about your parade entry. Stop by the Chamber if you would like an entry form or call us at 257-4323 to have one forwarded to you. An entry form can also be downloaded at lassencountychamber.org. The deadline to return you entry is Monday, July 13th.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill two board vacancies. Chamber members who are interested in serving on the board are encouraged to apply. Contact the chamber staff, at 257-4323, for more information or to have an application forwarded to you.
Labor Law Compliance Alert: Mandatory changes to CFRA Notice B take effect July 1st. You must post the revised CFRA notice on July 1, 2015 if you are a private-sector employer with 50 or more employees in 20 or more workweeks in the current or preceding calendar year, including a joint employer or successor in interest to a covered employer; or public agency, including a local or state government agency, regardless of the number of employees you employ. Chamber members should be sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members.
Mark your calendar and plan to attend the next Chamber Mixer that will be hosted by The Pardner Farm Supply on Thursday, July 10, 2014. They invite everyone to stop by to enjoy an evening of western hospitality-you do not need to be a Chamber member to attend; everyone is welcomed to stop by to mingle with friends and business associates.
