The third concert of the year to be presented by the Susanville Symphony Society will be held on Saturday, September 26th. “Concert on the Green” will begin at 4pm with the Historic Lassen County Courthouse as the beautiful backdrop for this concert presentation. Bring a chair or blanket and a picnic basket to enjoy the sounds presented by the symphony under the artistic direction of Ben Wade. The Chamber will be on hand with no-host beer and wine available to enjoy during the afternoon presentation. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased at Margie’s Book Nook or Axia Home Loans. The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce and Lassen Land and Trails Trust will co-host the annual Rails to Trails Festival on Saturday, October 10, from 10am to 4 pm, in conjunction with the Bizz Johnson Marathon. The festival will feature a chili cook-off, vendor and artisan marketplace, children activities, and handcart races. Applications to participate in this year’s festival are available by logging on to lassencountychamber.org and clicking on the Rails to Trails icon or contact the Chamber at 257-4323 for more information.
