The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce and Lassen Land and Trails Trust are busy gearing up to co-host the 23rd annual Rails to Trails Festival that will take place on Saturday, October 10, 10am to 4 pm, in conjunction with the Bizz Johnson Marathon. The festival will include a chili cook-off, vendor and artisan marketplace, children activities, and handcart races. Applications to participate in this year’s festival are available by logging on to lassencountychamber.org and clicking on the Rails to Trails icon or contact the Chamber at 257-4323 for more information. Late entries for all categories are still being accepted through October 7th.
The Lassen County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a “Traditional Media Marketing Symposium” Thursday October 8th, 12-1:30pm, at Lassen Senior Center, located at 1700 Sunkist Avenue, Susanville. The symposium will cover how to best use traditional media to advertise and promote your business. Presenters will include Rod Chambers, President/General Manager Sierra Radio Network, Eileen Majors, Publisher Mountain Valley Living Magazine, and Jill Atkinson, General Manager/Advertising Director Lassen County Times. There is no cost to attend and the event is open to the entire community; lunch will be available for purchase.
Chamber members should be sure that the Chamber’s visitor lobby has an adequate supply of your business cards and brochures on hand to promote your business throughout the year. This is a free marketing service that is available to all Chamber members.
