How does a small business get money to operate? This and other similar questions about financing a small business will be the topics covered at a workshop hosted by the Center for Economic and Workforce Development. ‘Financing Options for Your Small Business’ will be held Tuesday, October 22, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., at Lassen Community College. The Chamber board of directors is accepting applications to fill four board vacancies. The three year board terms will begin in January 2014. Chamber members interested in representing the business community and sharing their time and talents by serving on the board are encouraged to apply. The Board is seeking candidates who have business experience, community involvement, and the desire to represent the interests of the local business community. Stop by the Chamber office or call 257-4323 to receive an application to apply for the vacancies. Applications must be return by Monday, December 9, 2013.
