The Chamber will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary on Friday, September 27. In honor of this milestone the Lassen Historical Museum is looking for business memorabilia that can be used for a special display. If you have anything that you would be willing to share contact Tony Jonas at 257-3292.
The Chamber board is accepting applications to fill an unexpired board vacancy. Chamber members who are interested in sharing their time and talent to help promote the business community and Lassen County by serving on the board are encouraged to apply.
Applications are available at the Chamber office, located at 75 North Weatherlow Street. Deadline to return an application is Tuesday, September 10, 2013.
The Chamber has launched a new and improved website to better serve our members and those using the site to obtain area information. Log on to the website at lassencountychamber.org to check out the new website.
Last fall, the U.S. Census Bureau mailed 2012 Economic Census forms to more than 4 million businesses. We all benefit from the information gathered from this effort since reliable statistics are needed for economic development, decision making, and strategic planning.
The 2012 Economic Census, is the U.S. Government’s official five-year measure of American business and the economy. These forms are now overdue. If you have not yet returned your form for this mandatory survey, you are encouraged to do so as soon as possible. You can report online at: econhelp.census.gov .
