Lassen County Clerk Julie Bustamante has announced that the county is seeking civic-minded residents to fill several upcoming vacancies on various boards and commissions. The Board of Supervisors is actively recruiting applicants for positions on the Fair Advisory Board, Fish and Game Commission, and the Lassen County Planning Commission, specifically for Supervisorial Districts One, Two, and Four. These appointments will be made on or after March 11th, 2025, with terms expiring on March 31st, 2029.
Registered voters residing in the specified districts who are interested in serving their community are encouraged to apply. Applications are available at the Lassen County Clerk’s office, located at 220 South Lassen Street, Suite 5, Susanville, or by calling 1.530.251.8217.
The application form can also be downloaded from the Clerk of the Board’s webpage at www.lassencounty.org. Completed applications should be submitted to the Supervisor of the respective district or directly to the County Clerk.
In addition to these positions, the County is also announcing three unscheduled vacancies on the Clear Creek Community Services District Board of Directors. These vacancies are due to the resignations of Cathy Hunter and Julie Ford Raymond, whose terms expire on December 4th, 2026, and Michael Jimenez, whose term expires on December 1st, 2028.
The Board of Supervisors will also be filling these positions on or after March 11th, 2025, in accordance with the Maddy Appointment Registry Act. Applications for these positions can be obtained from the County Clerk’s office or the Clerk of the Board’s website, using the same contact information as above.
