Lassen County students are invited to showcase their artistic talents and celebrate Earth Day 2025 by participating in an art contest sponsored by the Smoke Free High Country Project and the Lassen County Tobacco Use Prevention Program. The contest aims to raise awareness about environmental health and community well-being.
The art contest is open to all students in Lassen County, with categories for different age groups: Kindergarten to 2nd grade (coloring page submission) and 3rd to 12th grade (poster design).
Students in grades 3-12 are tasked with creating posters based on the theme “Healthy Parks, Healthy Town,” which can be hand-drawn or digitally created. However, all final submissions must be on paper.
The deadline to submit artwork is Wednesday, April 9th, and you must either submit your entry in person at Lassen County Public Health or turn them in at school where they will be collected.
Prizes for winning submission include gift cards and prizes from local businesses.
All submissions must include the student’s name, grade, contact phone number, and email address on the back. Winning entries may be featured in various publications, exhibits, displays, social media and websites.
Don’t miss this chance to make a difference and show your support for a healthier community! For more information, follow @smokefreehighcountry on social media.
