More than 2 ounces of Methamphetamine were seized, and a Portola resident arrested, after an early evening traffic stop in the Doyle area June 13th.
A Sheriff’s Deputy, assigned to the southern Lassen County post, stopped a vehicle on Highway 395 near Doyle for a traffic violation. The driver, 43 year-old John Mulhall, was the sole occupant in the vehicle.
“Upon further investigation the Deputy discovered Mulhall was in possession of over 2 ounces of methamphetamine and items consistent with using and weighing drugs,” said Detective Sergeant Kevin Jones, “When sold in personal use quantities, this amount has a street value of over $5,000.”
Mulhall was booked into the Lassen County Jail for possession of narcotics for sale and possession of paraphernalia. His bail was set at $20,000.
