Members of a Lassen County Explorer Post paid a visit to the Bureau of Land Management’s Litchfield Wild Horse and Burro Corrals last Saturday.
The explorers learned about wild horses and burros on the public lands and the BLM adoption program.
The visitors also made friends with some saddle horses and wild horses awaiting adoption, and completed a public service project sprucing up some pathways around the office.
The Explorer Post is an outgrowth of the Lassen County Educational Collaborative, a partnership involving the BLM Eagle Lake Field Office, the Lassen National Forest, Lassen County Office of Education and the Lassen Land and Trails Trust.
