Lassen Family Services announced Monday that Morgan Merrill submitted the winning entry in the organization’s Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month poster contest.
When LFS asked Morgan why she wanted to participate her response was, “…because I am very involved in the community. I had the opportunity to dance at Dancing for a Brand New Me as a backup dancer this year. Being a part of this event allowed me to see how much this community cares about others who need our help, but don’t always ask.
Merrill’s theme for the poster entry was Growing Healthy Relationships.
“I enjoyed this chance to depict what a friendship-based relationship should consist of; fun activities that bring two people closer together.”
