Lassen Fire Safe Council will be holding their January General Meeting on the 17th, at 5:30p.m. in the Susan River Fire Hall in Johnstonville.
“We understand what a challenge your busy schedules and the weather can pose, but attending the meetings is a great way to know what’s happening with all of our efforts to reduce the risk from wildfires, ask questions, and get answers,” the group posted to social media, adding, “and there are always treats!”
One of the newest initiatives that will positively impact our communities in 2024 will be discussed at the meeting, the Council will roll out a Community Projects Fund that will be used to respond to urgent community wildfire mitigation needs, available to community groups, volunteer fire departments, Firewise communities, or other interested parties, governments, or organizations that have an urgent need.
More information will soon be available on the process to apply for funds. Click here to visit the Lassen Fire Safe Council online.
