The 2012 Lassen Grizzly Varsity Football team held their awards night Wednesday December 5. Head Coach Tom St. Jacques along with coaching staff Scott Brown, Paul Moore, Jason McMullin and JT Terrill announced the award winners for the season.
The first awards handed out were the 4.o academic awards where 25% of the team received this high achievement. This honor went to Frankie Shepherd, Brian Schaake, Brandon Park, Cole McCown, Sam Joseph, Bill Dandois, Colby Chavez, Brig Memmott, Nate Freeman and Tyler Clark. This is an outstanding achievement to play sports and maintain a 4.o GPA.
Best Defensive Back – Nick Park
Best Offensive Line – Brig Memmott
Best Defensive Line – Austin Silveria
Best Hands – Isreal Perez
Most Improved Offensive Player – Jarrell Cunningham
Most Improved Defensive Player – Hunter McCallister
Coaches Award – Brian Schaake and Colby Chavez
Defensive MVP – David Vicondoa
Offensive MVP – Nate Freeman
Special Teams MVP – Brian McDonald
Special thanks went out to all that have helped the Football Boosters and team throughout the year. Without the volunteers the program wouldnt be such a success.
