Lassen High Varsity Baseball beat Anderson 6-4 in the first round of the playoffs.
Joey Beck pitched for Lassen with 11 strike outs, 4 hits and 5 walks. At the plate for Lassen Colby Chavez had 2 hits and 2 RBI, Ryan Sharpe had a double, and Joey Beck had an RBI. Lassen was trailing 4-1 until the 5th inning when they scored 5 runs on 1 hit, 1 error, 2 walks, 1 hit batter and some fancy base running. It was a very exciting inning for Lassen.
Lassen will host Yreka in the 2nd round of the playoffs on Tuesday May 14 at 5:00pm.
