Students and staff at Lassen High School’s campus on Main Street in Susanville were briefly on ‘soft lockdown’ Tuesday after the school’s administration reported a non-specific threat.
At around 10:35a.m., according to Police Captain Ryan Cochran, Susanville Police Officers, along with staff from the high school and assistance from the Lassen County Sheriffās Office responded to investigate.
“During the time we were investigating,” said Cochran, “the school was put into a soft lockdown, meaning no one was allowed on campus and all students remained in the classrooms. After the investigation was complete, we determined there was no threat to the High School students and staff and lifted the lockdown.”
