It has been five decades since the Lassen High School Class of 1976 first tossed their caps in the air, and now the Reunion Committee is inviting classmates to return to Susanville to celebrate that incredible half-century milestone.
The 50th Year Reunion is officially set for Saturday, June 13th, with festivities kicking off at 6:00p.m. This year’s gathering will be held at 1700 Main Street, where old friends can catch up over memories and a no-host bar that will be available throughout the evening.
Organizers are encouraging everyone to secure their spot before the June 2nd RSVP deadline. To make the process as seamless as possible, the committee has provided two ways to register. Tech-savvy alumni can head over to Eventbrite to pay electronically and select their meal choices digitally. For those who prefer the “old-school” route, checks for $28.00 per person can be mailed directly to John Dennis at 623 Mill Street, Susanville, CA 96130.
The night’s menu promises a classic local feel, featuring a choice between a beef enchilada and taco combo or a vegetarian-friendly chile relleno and cheese enchilada. Every meal comes complete with chips, salsa, rice and beans.
If you are opting to pay by mail, the committee asks that you please remember to note your specific meal preference in the memo section of your check.
Whether you’ve stayed in the Honey Lake Valley or are traveling back from afar, the Class of 1976 looks forward to seeing a great turnout for this historic celebration of Grizzly pride.
