Lassen High School’s Future Business Leaders of America club traveled to Sutter High School to participate in the Northern California FBLA Section competition last week.
They showed their knowledge and skills in a variety of competitions including public speaking, computer tech and marketing.
Overall, the Lassen High FBLA competitors placed 3rd in sections and over a dozen students individually managed to qualify for state competition.
FBLA helps high school students build a portfolio of documented accomplishments as a complement to their academic experience. When applying for scholarships, can use that portfolio to demonstrate how they served in a leadership position, received awards or participated in projects.
FBLA offers over 50 competitive and skills events from the areas of technology, public speaking, business, finance and management.
