The Lassen County Office of Education has announced the winners of this year’s Lassen High Business Plan Awards, a program sponsored by Plumas Bank and presented by Shane Holland, Vice President of Plumas Bank.
Each year, Plumas Bank recognizes top-performing students from Carrie Satica’s Economics of Business class, a Career Technical Education course articulated through Lassen College.
Students who complete the course earn four college units in addition to fulfilling Economics and Pathway Honors requirements at Lassen High School.
This year’s first-place prize of $600 was awarded to Hailie Plummer and Alexa Winje for their innovative business plan, Soda and Sass—a creative concept that features a soda bar, vendor stalls, and upcycled products.
Second place and a $300 prize went to Peace Folorunso for Hustle, a youth sports training facility. Third place was awarded to Jaden Yang for Clutch and Cup, a unique business combining car rentals and a coffee shop for car show enthusiasts.
Mrs. Satica shared that eight outstanding business plans were submitted and presented to a panel of community judges.
“I’m incredibly proud of the dedication, creativity, and professional-level work my students put into these projects. Their presentations reflect the future of entrepreneurship and innovation in our community,” said Satica.
Congratulations to all the student entrepreneurs and a heartfelt thank you to Plumas Bank for continuing to support local education and student achievement.
