The Lassen High School volleyball program is firing on all cylinders as the 2026 fall season gets underway. With early tournament hardware already secured and an undefeated regular-season start, head coach Autry Satica and the Grizzlies are gearing up for an action-packed schedule, community events, and a packed home slate in “The Cave.”
Season Off to a Flying Start
Lassen kicked off the 2026 campaign with impressive tournament showings across the board. The Varsity squad captured the Silver Bracket championship at the Durham Tournament, highlighted by All-Tournament honors awarded to senior Cadence Morris and sophomore Jade Huffman.
Meanwhile, the Freshman team made a statement of their own at Oroville, finishing the tournament with a strong 3-1 record.
In regular-season action, Varsity is rolling with a flawless 4-0 record, including two marquee victories over upper-division opponents.
“The season is flying! LHS volleyball is on the road for a couple weeks, but there are many home games left,” said Coach Satica. “JV and Freshmen are so fun to watch. The student section brings the 7th man energy every game. Lassen has an awesome team this year, the girls are super dedicated and really want to go far!”
Calling All Alumni: Annual Game Set for August 31st
One of the program’s most anticipated traditions returns Monday, August 31st, as LHS hosts its annual Alumni Game.
- JV vs. Freshmen: 5:00p.m.
- Varsity vs. Alumni: 6:00p.m.
Coach Satica is actively looking for former LHS volleyball players to fill out the alumni roster and will work around player schedules as much as possible for practice time.
Alumni Player Requirements:
Must be an LHS volleyball alumna.
Cannot be listed on a current college volleyball roster.

LHS Youth Volleyball Camp: Saturday, September 19th
Younger athletes looking to develop their skills can take part in the upcoming Lassen High Volleyball Youth Camp on Saturday, September 19th, from 9:00a.m. to 1:00p.m. (Check-in begins at 8:30a.m.).
The camp is for players in grades 5th through 8th. The cost is $60 per player and includes Camp T-shirt, snack and free entry to the Grizzlies’ home league opener on September 24th when wearing the camp shirt.
