Lassen Land and Trails Trust is organizing a Community Action Day on August 9th, from 9:00a.m. to noon, at the Lassen Creek Conservation Area. The primary objective of this event is to re-establish the vital fire access road situated along the north and east sides of the conservation area.
This initiative is particularly important for the numerous homes, ranging from less than one acre to three acres, that surround the property. Emphasizing fire safety as a top priority, LL&TT believes that restoring this fire access road will significantly contribute to the safety of nearby residents.
To make this event a success, LL&TT needs to build a volunteer base of 20 individuals. Volunteers will not only contribute to a critical community safety effort but will also receive lunch, Keep California Clean swag, and participate in a discussion focused on strategies to keep Susanville fire-safe.
