Lassen Land and Trails Trust has applied for grant funds through California State Park’s Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division for the Modoc Line Rail Trail, and invites the public to review and comment on this application.
The Modoc Line grant will implement trail maintenance projects on three priority segments of the Modoc Line Rail Trail. The Trust acquired the abandoned rail corridor for development and management as a shared-use, motorized public trail in 2008, and the Modoc Line Rail Trail Management Plan was adopted after public comments in January 2012.
The Trust’s applications can be reviewed beginning on Tuesday, March 6th, at the Division’s website, http:/ohv.parks.ca.gov. Public comments are requested by April 2nd.
