Lassen Land & Trails Trust to Host Community Action Day for National Public Lands Day

Lassen Land & Trails Trust is calling on volunteers from the community to lend a hand at the upcoming Susanville Community Action Day on Saturday, September 27th. The event, in honor of National Public Lands Day, aims to create a cleaner and safer environment by reducing fire hazards on local public lands.

Held from 9:00a.m. to 12:00p.m., the event is a collaborative effort with the Bureau of Land Management and the local chapter of Trout Unlimited, with support from California Volunteers and Keep California Beautiful.

Volunteers will focus on fire safety projects along the Susan River, the Bizz Johnson Trail, and around the Historic Susanville Depot. Activities will include reducing vegetation to improve river access and mitigate fire risks.

Participants should meet at the Historic Susanville Depot at 9:00a.m. to choose a project. Supplies and a complimentary lunch will be provided to all volunteers.

This is a great opportunity to give back to the community and help protect our cherished public lands. For more information or to sign up, visit the Lassen Land & Trails Trust website or use the provided link:
