Seniors at high schools, charter schools and academies in the Honey Lake Valley, Westwood, Lake Almanor and Indian Valley are being offered four $2,000 scholarships this year by the Masons of Lassen Lodge #149.
The lodge will select four students from our region who are planning to attend an accredited college, university or trade school in pursuit of a higher education to award the scholarships.
First, there are two $2,000 scholarships open to all seniors from local area high schools or charter schools in the Honey Lake Valley, Westwood/Lake Almanor and Indian Valley, which encompasses the Lassen Lodge’s service area. Click here for the application.
One $2,000 scholarship will be awarded for students heading for a Vocational degree program or Trade school. This scholarship is open to the local area schools in our service area. Click here for this application.
Ther next $2,000 scholarship is for any field or subject area, but the recipient needs to identify a Masonic family relationship, past or present, such as a grandfather, father, uncle, etc. of the local historic lodges or a lodge within the California jurisdiction; or, involvement in a Masonic youth order, such as Jobs Daughters. The final $2,000 scholarship is similar to the first scholarships but will be awarded to a student in the Westwood/Lake Almanor or Indian Valley area only. Click here to download that application.
The scholarships will be awarded to students who give detailed information, and no incomplete application will be considered. A typed, well-organized application is necessary, no handwritten application will be accepted.
The application, including all documents, must be received by 5:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026.
